Hi all,
Just joined. I don't collect but have been a reconner selling on ebay for past 16 years. I am retired from that now and still have lots of decals, masks and rejects for sale. Check the classifieds. I'll try to throw out interesting threads from time to time for the DIY'er.

Welcome. Thank you for the introduction. Great to have you as a source for helmets and parts for the DIYer. Thank you as well for becoming a premium member. We have the very low $5 monthly fee to help offset the monthly fees associated with the hosting etc. Compared to the 10% fee of eBay or 20% + at auction houses it's a much better deal. My goal is that eventually this site will be the go-to choice for collectors to buy sell and trade their helmets, parts and accessories. Thank you again and welcome!

Hi All,

Just signed up for this interesting website, I think it would be a great idea to offer a category specifically for concept helmet creation. Where to buy decals, and all the tips for novices like myself.

Thanks for the invite to join. I collect signed mini helmets, both NFL and College. My NFL collection focuses mostly on those that played from about 1980 and before, quarterbacks and Hall of Famers. My college collection is mostly of non football players, that have some connection with that particular University. Currently, I have about 2000 NFL and 500 College signed helmets in my collection.

No, they are not all on display. I have one room, with slat wall, and that has about 300 in it, with more in cases on the floor. A second room has all the Hall of Famers in display cases, as well as the 1965-1967 Packers and the all time AFL and decade team members. The college ones are in stacks in various places and the rest of the NFL ones are in a large storage closet.

Hello, thank you for your invitation.
I started my collection 10 years ago.
I search or cutomize myself my helmet so that they are identical to that of the players who sign it (or I try to get closer)
I live in Belgium

Collecting for approximately 10 years

I collect mostly Packer Game Helmets.  I occasionally do purchase and sell Packer game Jerseys and non Packer game helmets.  I love the hunt for game used helmets that are hidden gems that can not be seen by the naked eye.

I hope all is well. I collect Alabama Football memorabilia for my thirteen year old son. He loves the Crimson Tide.

Hello all,

Thank you for the invite! I am high school football coach and big Seminoles and Dolphins fan. I take a few of our older helmets each year and transform them into FSU or Dolphins helmets. My wife thinks I have a problem. Nice to be aroundsome people with the same passions. LOL

When I read your post to my wife, she laughed. When I showed her the photo and she saw the mannequin, she said, "Ok, he does have a problem." I have a Packers mannequin that she absolutely hates. Thinks it is creepy and calls it my doll...

As soon as I opened my office my wife told me to get "those things" out of her house. Haha. So, I am trying to make room for them this way. Basically, I recreate the helmet, in chronological order, for every college (current FBS, former Div 1A) and professional team I've seen in person. The shell, mask, and decals must be the exact same as they were in the game I attended. So, if it was an opening weekend game, then award decals don't apply.
The collection starts with Clemson in 1983, and my most recent was Mississippi State from this past weekend at Georgia. So far, I am missing Florida Atlantic decals from 2006, Louisville decals for the black helmet (chrome red cardinal), current Pitt decals for their gold helmet, a "satin" Arkansas helmet from the 2016 Belk Bowl (I have the decals), and of course the Miss. St. decals for their matte white helmet.

I only attend games when at least one of the teams is a new team for me, but these days I have to be extra cautious because of how often teams change designs, and frankly because some of these modern looks are so bland or tacky...I am so sick of matte white helmets with white masks and no stripes. How bland can you possibly get?
