Rayhallne5 - I'm surprised that he ever comes out of his room! Very nice. Is it always that neat and clean - or just for the photos??

Yes, he keeps his room very clean.  Aside from making his bed, we don't have to worry about him keeping his room clean.

Love your (navy/red) Colonel Rebel helmet!  We need to get you a Green Dot mask from the 70's, b/c that style wasn't worn with the current style mask you have it attached to.   One of my favorite looks, though. [thumb]

Here as some of my GU helmets that I'm able to display. I have many others but no room to display so I rotate my helmets. There are a couple helmets (2 or 3) in these photos that are not game used but came from the team Except the Patriots Tri-Hat helmet. This helmet caused a great deal of controversy about 12 to 15 years ago. An individual was attempting to sell it as a Gamer and could provide no supporting documentation. A great deal of banter between collectors occurred and ultimately the individual just removed it from the auction. I was able to pick it up about a year later for a very reasonable cost. What I can say is this piece is very old (I believe it comes from the late fifties or very early sixties), six point suspension, Riddell stamped on the rear lower right stripe. The stripes are painted on and the decal is a very thin two piece matte finish. Someone during the banter stated he met someone who may have been connected to the Patriots back then, said the decal was one piece and the white portion was a cutout so the helmet color would be the white portion of the decal. If this is true, these decals would have been very challenging to put on the helmet because of the thin decal and the large expanse of open across the decal. Also the hiking Patriot logo was basically one piece with two cutouts on the lower portion by the legs. These would have been much easier to apply but still a little challenging. The Hiking Patriot helmet is a gamer and I have 4 more game used Patriot helmets.

You may notice the Jacksonville Sharks GU Helmet it was worn by John Stofa and came directly him.

Very nice Dave. (A couple of those helmets look familiar!😀)

I remember the banter on the Pats helmet. Interesting to hear that you obtained it. As you know there has been plenty of disagreements on older helmets through the years and some of the "experts" have been proven wrong.

Sadly, I don't see any Packers helmets in your photos...

Hi Helmets, I agree. I love that piece and Yes many of the experts have been proven wrong. I've acquired helmets that looked authentic and seller assured me it was authentic only to discover it was a fake. My thoughts are buyer beware so I attempt to authentic with pictures whenever possible.

I've been looking for an old Packers RK or TK for years. They don't seem to come available very often. Someday....

'dave755' thanks for sharing your collection.  I love the old NFL gamers and you've some very nice pieces.  Really like the old Tampa Bay lid with the Bucco Bruce logo.  Any idea who wore that gamer?

Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom, thanks. Yes it was worn by number 85 Morris Owens. I've been able to photo authentic it as being worn during the 1979 season.

Cheers
